Organisation

The Swiss World Atlas is a joint effort by the cantons.

It has been published by the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) since 1910. The other participating institutions are the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformation at ETH Zurich, to which the editorial team is affiliated, Lehrmittelverlag in Zurich (supplier of the German- and Italian-language editions) and Schulverlag plus AG in Bern (supplier of the French-language edition).
