The SWISS WORLD ATLAS interactive has been successfully introduced to geography classes at the Kantonsschule Baden in late April. With the use of the new interactive atlas in several classes this new teaching method could be tested for practicability with students and for concrete questions.

Feedback of the students from the Kantonsschule Baden was throughout positive. The SWISS WORLD ATLAS interactive proved to be a suitable tool for the complement of the printed SWISS WORLD ATLAS. In summary it was shown that there is a great interest of the students to work with such modern and interactive methods in geography classes.

Experiences have identified the need for fast internet connections and up-to-date computers in order to guarantee a smooth use of the interactive atlas. It is recommended that the IT-responsible person is contacted prior to a use of the «SWISS WORLD ATLAS interactive» so that the needed updates can be installed.
